Well, this coming weekend will mark the second major trip with the van since the rebuild and the first trip after the initial "break in" period. I have a few things to do over the next couple days to get ready for the trip: change the oil and filter, check the ATF level, and install some new valve cover gaskets. When I did the engine rebuild I decided to go with some shiny, but relatively cheap Edelbrock valve covers. The covers look nice, but are so polished that they don't make the best seal. So got some Victor Reinz valve cover gaskets that look pretty beefy and hopefully should do the trick.
So, the plan is to do some trail riding over at Cline Buttes this weekend,

Really looking forward to getting over the mountain and twisting the ol' grip! I have only been to Cline Buttes once and that was two years ago before I started riding. Last time I rocked my hard tail mountain bike, and while it was fun, the trails were definatley more geared for dirt bikes. Plus they have been doing a ton of trail work at Cline, so really excited to see how the trails and camping areas turned out!

While it was cold, we had a good fire going and Joe went out and found a big ol' piece of downed wood to burn and warm up the camp. Funny thing that both Joe and his brother Ben tripped on the damn thing later after a few drinks and aquired the only bruises on the trip, haha!
